Frequently, families need to use the Probate Courts. Probate Courts administer cases that fall under the Estates and Protected Individuals Code. Some issues that the Probate Courts have exclusive jurisdiction over include the administration over decedent's estates both with and without legally executed wills; and limited and full guardianships and conservatorships over minors, mentally incapacitated individuals, and developmentally disabled individuals.
